Holding your breath

The Mer-Palooza workshop on breath holding was extremely interesting. It’s more about what you do throughout the day to prepare yourself for when you are in the water. You need to practice breath holds periodically. It was suggested to hold your breath for 2 minutes at a time, ten times a day! Also what you eat affects your ability to sustain the breath — keep away from coffee, spicy foods, allergy meds, and other stimulants.
