		Tension Sinks
Today’s student was an adult swimming with me for her 7th time; however, it was the first time I did the float push (like yesterday’s first lesson). She floated, I raised her feet and pushed her forward, letting go and then catching up to give her another push after she caught a breath. I couldn’t move her ankles closer together, which should have been easy to do. Bingo, she’s been holding tension in her legs which is why it is so hard for her to stay parallel when swimming. When she swam the crawl after we talked about it, her butt was near the water surface!
